AMD Graphics Driver for Ryzen AI 300 on Windows 11

The AMD graphics driver for Windows is currently NOT compatible with the new Ryzen AI 300 processors. If you run Windows 11 on your TUXEDO equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI 300 processor, please stay with our pre-installed graphics driver which you can also download here. Do not manually update the AMD graphics driver yourself.

Generic AMD graphics driver can cause system instability

Notebooks of all brands are usually shipped with their own OEM driver packages, which are based on the original drivers of the component manufacturers (e.g. AMD, NVIDIA, Intel, Realtek, etc.), but contain specific settings (via so-called Extended INF (EINF for short) driver extensions) to ensure the best possible functionality on the respective laptop.

Once a new driver version - downloaded directly from the component manufacturer's website - gets installed, the EINF settings of the previous OEM driver are normally retained in order to ensure compatibility with the notebook hardware.

The current graphics driver from AMD no longer takes the OEM-specific EINF settings into account, which can lead to the following problems:

System instability and even system crashes
Incomplete or faulty driver installation
Loss of access to the »AMD Adrenalin Control Center«.

We are in contact with AMD and our notebook ODM to investigate options for a compatible graphics driver update procedure. Until then, please only use our supplied and tested, fully functional graphics driver.

What do you have to do? Nothing!

Good news is: You don't have to do anything. On the contrary.

If you have ordered your TUXEDO laptop with Windows 11 pre-installed, you do not need to do anything. If you want to install Windows 11 on your TUXEDO with AMD Ryzen AI 300 processor yourself, please use the drivers from our download area (please make sure to select your specific notebook model!). Please do not update your graphics driver via AMD's system control app called »AMD Adrenaline«. Please also do not download/install any graphics drivers from the AMD website.

Your TUXEDO is fully functional with our supplied driver (24.30.46.11 from the end of May 2025). There is no need for a graphics driver update.

As soon as a new, tested AMD graphics driver is available from our site for your TUXEDO, it will be made available in the download area.

The more details you give us, the faster we can process your request!

We might not be able to answer questions about third party hardware or software. For questions about popular open source software (Thunderbird, Filezilla...) please contact a forum e.g. ubuntuforums.org. The research effort for application specific setup is immense and not manageable at the current time. Basic compatibility questions e.g. are of course still welcome!

Taxes and customs outside the EU:

For orders outside the EU there might be additional duties, taxes or charges needed to be paid by the customer. These don't have to be paid to the supplier, but to local authorities. Please check for any details with your local customs or tax authorities before ordering! But as a benefit you don't have to pay German taxes, this means you save up to 19%!
Due to the Brexit and the associated changes, there may be delays of several days in customs clearance on site for deliveries to the UK. This is not within our sphere of influence, so we ask for your understanding.
