Königsbrunn (Germany), 9th of August 2019. The XP1610, XUX509 and XUX709 are now available in the new „Deep Learning AI-Edition“ in the online shop. These high-performance portable devices deliver the mobile performance customers need, with the largest memory, the most powerful processor, the most powerful graphics card, and the most mass storage capacity of any TUXEDO Computers laptops.

High-performance computers in continuous load operation

The "Deep Learning AI Edition" was developed together with TUXEDO Computers and well-known companies from the automotive, industrial and software industries, who use devices in continuous load operation in development. This combination guarantees powerful computers that are specially adapted to the needs of deep learning AI development. In addition, there will soon be a WebFAI installation version of TUXEDO Computers, which already installs several development environments and brings them pre-configured. However, this WebFAI installation can only be executed on devices that are also designed for the use of Deep Learning AI projects.

In addition to the various operating systems, such as Ubuntu Budgie or openSUSE 15.1 with different desktops in the latest 64-bit version, a special Deep Learning AI edition of TUXEDO_OS can be selected in addition to the adapted TUXEDO_OS based on Ubuntu with Budgie Desktop. In addition, Deep Learning AI-Edition of TUXEDO_OS configures and installs further programs:

  • Miniconda3 (Distribution/Management System)

  • CUDA (Toolkit)

  • TensorFlow (Framework)

  • PyTorch (Open Source Program Library )

  • Jupyter Notebook ((application to create and share documents containing live code, equations, visualizations and description text)

  • MXNet (Deep Learning Framework)

  • Theano (Library and a Compiler for calculating mathematical expressions in Python)

  • CNTK (Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit)

 

There are currently three selected notebook variants available as Deep Learning AI variants. Further expansion of the range is not ruled out and a number of desktop devices suitable for continuous load operation will soon follow.
