There are a variety of programs that provide a wide range of functions on Linux

Only when modifying files for mobile devices do you need programs that transfer the files into the desired formats. Here we list a few programs that cover areas such as music, film and images well and have proven themselves for a long time. Many of the programs can be installed via Ubuntu's application management. Audacity

This is a free audio editor and recorder. Audio files can be mixed and edited on any number of tracks. Audacity can process the most popular audio formats and users can mix songs, add sound effects and convert files. Developed in 1999 by Dominic Mazzoni, Audacity is free.

VLC Media Player

This is a free and open source multimedia player and a framework that plays most multimedia files and streaming protocols. The VLC Media Player was developed in 1996 by the VideoLAN team, consisting of students from the French engineering school École Centrale Paris and developers from over 20 countries.

Kdenlive

Kdenlive is an acronym for KDE Non-Linear Video Editor. It's primarily aimed at the GNU/Linux platform, but also works on BSD and MacOS. Kdenlive is a free and open source video editing software from KDE that offers support for dual video monitors, a multi-track timeline, clip lists, customizable layout support, effects and transitions.

Shotcut

A free video editor that can also convert the video into various formats. Clips can be enriched with effects and recordings can be transferred to the appropriate format. Handbrake

Blender

Blender may already be familiar to CAD users. This is a free, GPL-licensed 3D graphics suite that can be used to model, animate and texture bodies. These can be systematized in graphics, animations and software. Created image syntheses can be post-processed with the help of the integrated compositor and video editing program. The program is relatively small and runs on most computer systems - it is also available as an app. Blender has been used repeatedly in film projects and video games since 2005.

OpenShot is a bit easier than Kdenlive. So if users need a video editor with a simple interface, OpenShot is a good choice. Individual clips can be imported and cut into a video on the timeline, with transitions between clips. There are also many video effects, you can insert text.
