New success story published

Augsburg, 11th of March 2020. The phænovum Schülerforschungszentrum Lörrach-Dreiländereck e. V. (Germany) was equipped with eight laptops from TUXEDO Computers' BC series. These are made accessible to pupils in seminar rooms for courses and project work in the IT/Robotics department. In the student research centre, interested as well as highly motivated and talented students are given the opportunity to conduct independent research: "We are happy to support institutions of this kind in order to give boys and girls space to experience and learn without fear or timidity," confirms Herber Feiler, CEO of TUXEDO Computers GmbH.

Success Story phaenovumThe battery in this laptop series is plugged in and can be replaced by a spare battery. Users also benefit from an energy-saving graphics card and with the 15.6-inch display and the i5-8300H processor, and with a 250 GB SSD there is enough power to work and develop. In the case of the student research centre, the devices were equipped with dual-boot in order to be able to use the Linux and Windows operating systems equally on them.

"We want to be able to rely on the notebooks running Linux to work perfectly. (...) And last but not least, we are happy to buy our notebooks directly from a manufacturer in Germany," explains Lars Möllendorf, Head of IT/Robotics at phænovum Schülerforschungszentrum Lörrach-Dreiländereck e. V.

Please include your customer number, the model name of your laptop or PC and as detailed a description of your request as possible. The more details you give us, the faster we can process your request!

We might not be able to answer questions about third party hardware or software. For questions about popular open source software (Thunderbird, Filezilla...) please contact a forum e.g. ubuntuforums.org. The research effort for application specific setup is immense and not manageable at the current time. Basic compatibility questions e.g. are of course still welcome!

Time of delivery

If not stated differently in the article's description, we deliver goods in:

  • 10 - 12 working days outside Germany

For orders paid in advance, the delivery time starts with receipt of the payment. Please keep in mind that there is no delivery on Sundays or on holidays.
For goods delivered as download, there will be no shipping fees due.
Access data for downloads are sent out via e-mail 1 - 3 working days after contract formation. For orders with advanced payment, we will deliver after receiving the payment. You can download the item by using the link sent to you via e-mail.
