Tiger in sheep's clothing: The new TUXEDO Book XP14

Compact yet eXetremely fast

Das neue TUXEDO Book XP14

Augsburg (Germany), 11th of December 2020. In line with the motto 'Tiger in sheep's clothing', the new TUXEDO Book XP14 - Gen12 not only features an unobtrusive, business-like chassis, but it also represents TUXEDO's smallest and lightest gaming notebook.

Due to Intel's new Tiger Lake processors (Core i5-1135G7 / Core i7-1165G7) with Iris Xe Graphics and optional NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, the TUXEDO Book XP14 not only turns out to be a small powerhouse for 'work and play', but also offers the fastest connectivity thanks to Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4.0.

Lightweight and small chassis

With dimensions of 324,9 x 225 x 17,6 mm and weight of 1,45 kg the TUXEDO Book XP14 is the smallest and lightest TUXEDO Notebook with dedicated graphics!

While the aluminum display lid provides sturdy protection for the device, the XP14 uses a fingerprint-resistant plastic surface in an unusual 'deep navy blue' color for the rest of the chassis.

Thanks to the highly efficient Tiger Lake power saving processors, which are manufactured in a new 10 nm process, the internally screwed 49 Wh battery allows runtimes of up to 6 hours (video streaming via Wifi and ~ 150 nits display brightness).

Speaking of the display: The 14.0 inch type IPS display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FullHD) and a fast refresh rate of 120 Hz. The matte coating and the brightness of ~300 nits also allow outdoor usage.

Tiger Lake with Iris Xe Graphics and NVIDIA GTX 1650

The small 14 inch Linux performance laptop features Intel's new Tiger Lake power saving CPUs Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7 with 4 cores | 8 threads each and in their strongest configuration with a TDP of 28 watts (default: 15 watts).

With 96 Execution Units (EUs), the integrated Iris Xe Graphics offers greatly improved performance over the previous iGPU generation and is well suited for all everyday tasks including image and video editing and even light gaming in reduced settings.

More sophisticated users with higher gaming ambitions will most likely choose the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, which turns the TUXEDO Book XP14 into a powerful mobile gaming console.

The GTX 1650 features 4GB of GDDR6 video memory and a TGP (Total Graphics Power) of 50 watts resulting in around twice the performance compared to the Intel Iris Xe Graphics.

Thunderbolt 4, PCIe 4.0 SSD and max. 64 GB RAM

The XP14 integrates the new standard Thunderbolt 4 (USB 4.0) with up to 40 Gbit/s data transfer rate, USB Power Delivery for charging the laptop via USB-C power supply and integrated DisplayPort for up to two external monitors (see "Technical Details").

Furthermore 3x USB ports as well as HDMI and a LAN port are available. The 2-in-1 headphone/microphone as well as the 6-in-1 card reader finish the comprehensive connection setup.

The M.2 SSD slot is connected via the extremely fast PCIe 4.0 interface, which allows the use of the latest SSDs with highest data speeds.

Even in terms of memory the TUXEDO Book XP14 does not compromise on performance despite its small chassis with up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM (Dual Channel).
