Once again as an online event: The Kiel Open Source and Linux Days 2021

TUXEDO Computers supports the event again with cash and in-kind donations

 

This year, on September 17th and 18th, in close tie with the international Software Freedom Day, the Kieler Open Source und Linux Tage will take place at the Kieler Innovations- und Technologiezentrum - again as an online event. On the day before the conference, on September 16th, Linux beginners can get an insight into the free operating system and some application examples in several beginner presentations at the Kiel Linux Presentation Day.

Kielux, as the event is deemed, offers its virtual visitors a balanced combination of conference with lectures, hands-on workshops and a supporting program. The selection of topics for the lectures and workshops is broad, so that both beginners and experts get a real benefit during a visit to Kielux.

Even though the Kiel Open Source and Linux Days have a strong regional focus, the online version opens up easy access for visitors and speakers from all parts of Germany and beyond.

TUXEDO Computers as a sponsor in several areas

This year, TUXEDO Computers is acting as a sponsor in several areas: On the one hand, the hardware manufacturer supports the event monetarily, and on the other hand, it loans two devices so that lectures and workshops can be broadcast via livestream and later video editing can take place. The organizers are using two XP14 Gen12s for this purpose. TUXEDO Computers will provide the equipment free of charge for approximately two months. Furthermore, there are three prize packages to be raffled off this year. TUXEDO Computers enriches the packages with some goodies, like three Linux games and other little things. And also the helpers can look forward to some little things as a thank you.

Please include your customer number, the model name of your laptop or PC and as detailed a description of your request as possible. The more details you give us, the faster we can process your request!

We might not be able to answer questions about third party hardware or software. For questions about popular open source software (Thunderbird, Filezilla...) please contact a forum e.g. ubuntuforums.org. The research effort for application specific setup is immense and not manageable at the current time. Basic compatibility questions e.g. are of course still welcome!

Time of delivery

If not stated differently in the article's description, we deliver goods in:

  • 7 - 10 working days inside Germany
  • 10 - 12 working days outside Germany

For orders paid in advance, the delivery time starts with receipt of the payment. Please keep in mind that there is no delivery on Sundays or on holidays.
For goods delivered as download, there will be no shipping fees due.
Access data for downloads are sent out via e-mail 1 - 3 working days after contract formation. For orders with advanced payment, we will deliver after receiving the payment. You can download the item by using the link sent to you via e-mail.
