AMD Ryzen shipment delay postpones TUXEDO Pulse deliveries

Augsburg (Germany), 14th of October 2020. As we were informed yesterday, AMD has only delivered half of the amount of Ryzen processors that we had been promised.

Only a small portion of our pre-orders can be shipped shortly

As a result, we are only able to serve a small portion of our pre-orders, which we will ship according to the 'first in, first out' principle.

We have not yet been given a final delivery date for the second half of our Ryzen APU order. AMD will try to provide us with the rest of this batch in November, but due to the repeated delays and unfulfilled delivery promises, we are taking this information with a grain of salt.

For you this means that we unfortunately have to ask you again for a little more patience and that the next deliveries of Pulse 14 and Pulse 15 - pre-orders are not expected before December.

Alternatives for changing the order

For customers who can't or don't want to wait any longer, there are several alternatives that are available for delivery shortly or even directly from stock.

TUXEDO Aura 15

Also equipped with AMD Ryzen 7, but available from mid-November:
The new TUXEDO Aura 15 with the 8-core Ryzen 7 4700U processor offers very good performance despite low energy consumption and low fan noise levels thanks to 15 W TDP.

In addition, the device has a DisplayPort-capable USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port, which also allows the laptop to be charged via USB-C power supply using the Power Delivery function.

Thanks to the highly efficient hardware, the 49 Wh battery offers respectable runtimes of up to 15 hours (idle), the integrated LTE module ensures fast Internet access everywhere.

The magnesium chassis, which is only around 1kg light and torsionally stiff, and the very large 73Wh battery make the compact 14 inch laptop the ideal Linux companion for all users who value a long battery life and a light, yet robust device.

The innovative low-power display is partly responsible for the long battery life of up to 24 hours (idle). Even at full brightness it consumes around 50% less power than conventional IPS displays, but still scores with brightness values of ~ 350 cd/m2 and 98% sRGB color space coverage.

On the CPU side, Intel's power-saving Intel Core i5-10210U and Intel Core i7-10510U, each with 4 cores and 8 threads and a TDP of 15 W, which ensures constantly quiet usage, are more than sufficient for all kinds of office tasks, browsing and even light photo / video editing.

Please include your order number, the model name of your laptop or PC and as detailed a description of your request as possible. The more details you give us, the faster we can process your request!

We might not be able to answer questions about third party hardware or software. For questions about popular open source software (Thunderbird, Filezilla...) please contact a forum e.g. ubuntuforums.org. The research effort for application specific setup is immense and not manageable at the current time. Basic compatibility questions e.g. are of course still welcome!

International delivery

Here are the shipping costs as well as the amount threshold for your order. The threshold is referring to the total amount of your order, which enables free shipping.

Taxes and customs outside the EU:

For orders outside the EU there might be additional duties, taxes or charges needed to be paid by the customer. These don't have to be paid to the supplier, but to local authorities. Please check for any details with your local customs or tax authorities before ordering! But as a benefit you don't have to pay German taxes, this means you save up to 19%!
Due to the Brexit and the associated changes, there may be delays of several days in customs clearance on site for deliveries to the UK. This is not within our sphere of influence.

The processing of orders outside the EU may currently be subject to significant delays due to the respective customs authorities. Unfortunately, we have no influence over this and therefore ask you to check your shipment tracking daily. If the status of your shipment does not change for more than a week, please contact our customer service.
