The shapely and sturdy plastic housing of the TUXEDO Book BS1507 is particularly rigid due to its special curved design and the double edges. The plugged-in battery ensures stress-free energy supply even when on the move - a spare battery can be ordered.
After removing the bottom of the housing, all components are easy to maintain or replace.

The TUXEDO Book BS1507 is a device of the [B]business series, featuring energy-saving and thus battery-friendly Intel HD 630 graphics and Intel's quad-core high-end processors, thus increasing the battery runtime. Moreover, it is slim what makes it the ideal companion and chic tool.
The 15,6 inch large screen is as with all TUXEDO Books matte. Thanks to this size, you have a full-size keyboard and a numeric keypad at your disposal! I. e. You can work almost like an external keyboard on a stationary PC.
To make sure that the display on the great screen runs smoothly, we haven chosen a high-end quad-core CPU, the Intel Core i7 7700HQ
The more powerful the processor, the faster programs run and the more you can push the purchase of a new notebook into the future. Because with time the system requirements of new and current programs increase more and more.
For the 2,5" hard disk you can use one HDD or SSD. In addition, the TUXEDO Book BS1507 has a M. 2 slot in which you can install special M. 2 SSDs. If you decide to use an M. 2-SSD, we will naturally install the operating system on this particularly fast storage medium. The further hard disk will then serve as a "data slave".
As a device with mobile multimedia capabilities, an optical drive in the form of a DVD or Blu-Ray burner must not be missing in addition to the various connections. This can be exchanged for especially "memory hungry" optionally also with a further hard disk!
You can provide the necessary network connections via WLAN in ac/a/b/g/n speed, Bluetooth or via cable-bonded Gigabit-LAN.
The other features leave nothing to be desired: 2,0 MP Webcam incl. Micro, USB3.1 Type-C Gen2 incl. Thunderbolt 3, USB3.0 and USB2.0, HDMI, VGA D-Sub, Card-Reader and of course ports for microphone and headphones. The latter also offers the function to serve as an optical output! (And as a special feature, the BS1507 has an Thunderbolt 3 Type-C Port!)
In addition, the BS1507 has white backlit buttons. This means that the white letters on the black keys light up! This keyboard lighting is of course controllable in its brightness and can be switched off.
We install Ubuntu and TUXEDO_OS (based on Ubuntu Budgie) in the latest 64-bit version.
For advanced users and selected devices we also offer openSUSE 15 with Xfce, Gnome or KDE plasma. Of course fully configured and installed with all available updates and device drivers.

Encrypted Installation
On request we install your Linux system completely encrypted. The pre-installation as dualboot with Windows is technically not possible.

Windows on request
If you don't want or can't do without Windows, we install the desired Windows version next to Linux or alone. Please understand that a dual-boot installation can take 1-2 working days longer even though the process is fully automatic. Please also note that we provide you with a correct Windows license incl. license sticker and installation DVD!
Windows Drivers
The corresponding Windows drivers are already included as standard with every device, regardless of whether it is with or without Windows or operating system installation. Alternatively you are free to download alle Windows-Drivers from here.
As accessories you can select an additional external display for enjoying dual display operating together with the laptop.
Furthermore we deliver a wired or wireless keyboard including a mouse or an additional wired mouse. These input devices are produced by Logitech and are only available with German layout!
What are we customizing at the time of installation
We don't just simply install Linux but also customize a lot so that you get a perfectly running and working system! This is what we do:
Driver installation, configuration of special keys, TUXEDO drivers, TRIM commands for SSDs, disabling shopping suggestions at Ubuntu search, various additional packages and tools for configuration and to enhance user friendliness, at devices with NVIDIA graphics the respective drivers including Prime for switching and much more!
TUXEDO driver / TUXEDO WMI
Laptop have some special keys which won't work out of the box with Linux. For example the so called "Flight mode key" for (de)activating WIFI & Bluetooth etc.
To get them running we developed our own drivers and preinstall them (if you select Linux als desired operating system). For everyone curious and manual installers this driver is available at our support database:

Customisations during manual installations / TUXEDO script / TUXEDO driver
If you prefer to install you Linux operating system by yourself or if you have to reinstall it, we provide you with everything necessary at our support database to get it running like we do!
The easiest way is to go with our customisation script "tuxedo.sh". On Ubuntu and Ubuntu-base systems this script automatically runs all customisations the way we do that during preinstallation: installing drivers, configuration for special keys, TUXEDO drivers, TRIM commands for SSDs, deactivating shopping recommendations in Ubuntu search, various additional packages and toos for configuration an to enhance user friendliness, respective driveres on devices with NVIDIA graphics incl. All devices have a maintenance-friendly design. Depending on the model, the essential hardware components such as processor, drive, hard disks, RAM, WIFI modules etc. can be accessed via maintenance flaps or removable floor trays. Furthermore the battery is replaceable if not stated differently. Of course, even after expiration of your warranty period, we're offering replacement parts and service for many years!

Temperature controlled silent fan
At low system workload/stress there is less heat emerging. The cooling system fans have to spin accordingly fast or slow or even turn themselves off completely. But the device doesn't produce any disturbing noises even at full load, no high frequency sounds or clatter, just air swooshing.
Custom fan control with the TUXEDO Control Center
With the TUXEDO Control Center you are able to control the behavior of the fans at yourself. This means that you get the ability to make your device as silent as possible. You are able to set the device almost passive cooled, without any fan noise most of the time!
We are personally there for you Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm (German time). But also outside these times you can contact our team with your request by e-mail.
