    Small, smaller, TUXEDO Nano Pro: The Nano Pro - Gen11 combines the smallest possible footprint with energy-saving yet powerful hardware as well as extensive memory and connectivity.

    Whether as media station for the living room, extremely space-saving work PC or digital signage solution for companies - the TUXEDO Nano Pro is versatile and, thanks to its full Linux compatibility, offers maximum security for private, professional or public use.

    The hearts of the Linux Mini PC are AMD's highly efficient Ryzen 4000U and Ryzen 5000U series in the form of the affordable entry-level model AMD Ryzen 3 5300U and the pretty powerful yet energy saving Ryzen 7 4800U and 5800U.

    In combination with 2 exchangeable slots each for mass storage and RAM as well as an extensive ports selection, the Nano Pro integrates a full-fledged PC into an almost palm-sized and 1 kg light case.

     

    Ten times smaller than a shoe box

    Let's put its size into perspective: The TUXEDO Nano Pro's dimensions of 110 x 118 x 48 mm with a volume of only 0.62 liters are less than one tenth of the capacity of a standard shoebox!

    Thanks to its incredible compact design and weight of only about 1 kg, the Linux Mini PC is perfectly suitable for any situation that requires the smallest possible form factor.

    Whether it is a digital signage solution for public steles or digital info terminals, a home media station for the living room or an ultra portable home or work PC - the TUXEDO Nano Pro requires only a minimum of space for maximum flexibility.

    Additional flexibility regarding the positioning of the Mini Linux PC is provided by the included VESA mount, which can be used to attach the Nano Pro to a wall or the back of a monitor or TV, for example.

    The intelligent and highly efficient use of space in a "sandwich construction" style guarantees a high upgradeability with easy access to RAM or mass storage via the removable base plate.

     

    AMD Ryzen 4000U and 5000U:
    Power efficient yet powerful!

    AMD Ryzen stands for great energy efficiency, which ensures power-saving, yet powerful operation, especially in the TUXEDO Nano Pro's Ryzen 4000U series.

    The AMD Ryzen 3 5300U, which provides 4 processor cores including Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT), by means of which even up to 8 threads can be processed simultaneously, marks the very affordable entry and is suitable for all everyday tasks, such as web browsing, emails and office work.

    For more demanding tasks, such as image or video editing and ultra-fast multitasking, the respective top models, the Ryzen 7 4800U and 5800U, even offer twice as many cores, which can also handle two threads each in parallel thanks to SMT and thus up to 16 processes in total for the best possible performance while still consuming only 10-25 watts of power.

     

    Integrated AMD Radeon graphics

    Graphics rendering is done by the integrated Radeon graphics chip in all three AMD Ryzen U processors, which however - depending on the selected CPU model - differs in terms of specifications.

    Accordingly, the Ryzen 3 5300U uses the smallest variant of the Radeon iGPU with 6 graphics cores and a maximum clock rate of 1500 MHz.

    With 8 GPU cores each and clock rates of 1750 MHz (Ryzen 7 4800U) or even 2000 MHz (Ryzen 7 5800U) the two top-of-line AMD Ryzen processors offer decent performance for video encoding or even light gaming in reduced quality settings.

    Despite its extremely small form factor, the TUXEDO Nano Pro offers an extensive interface equipment for data transfer as well as for connecting up to 4 displays.

    In addition to HDMI 2.0a and DisplayPort 1.2a on the rear, 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen2 ports with DisplayPort 1.2a are available on the front.

    On the data side, 2x Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports (1x 1 Gb, 1x 2.5 Gb) as well as 3x USB-A (1x USB 3.2 Gen2, 2x USB 2.0) are on board, while the headphone/microphone jack as well as the obligatory Kensington Lock complete the extensive port selection.

    The disadvantage of such a tiny case is often the lack of storage capacity. Not so with the TUXEDO Nano Pro!

    The black chassis does not only accommodate 2x exchangeable SO-DIMM RAM slots for up to 64 GB RAM in the performance-optimized Dual Channel mode, but it even offers enough space for a space-saving M.2 SSD with PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA3 connection as well as for a classical 2.5 inch drive bay for SSDs or HDDs (SATA3).

    Cooling System & Fan

    Temperature controlled fan
    At low system workload, there is less heat emerging. The cooling system fans can spin accordingly slow or even turn themselves off completely. Depending on the chassis, cooling system and CPU and GPU, high to very high fan noise (air swooshing) is produced under full load. Thinner notebooks normally tend to get louder due to less cooling capacity.

    With the TUXEDO Control Center you are able to control the performance and the behavior of the fans by yourself. This means that you get the ability to make your device as quiet as possible. By heavily reducing the performance you are able to set the device almost passive cooled, without any fan noise most of the time!

    Operating systems

    We install Ubuntu and TUXEDO OS (based on Ubuntu with KDE Plasma Desktop) in the latest 64-bit version with long term support.

    With our fully automatic installation WebFAI you can easily perform a Linux installation exactly as we at TUXEDO Computers do it in our production! You can choose from all distributions that we also offer in our configurator. Depending on the distribution, you have the choice between different desktop interfaces.     For "self-installers" and all who are interested, we have set up a database with downloads, instructions, tips & tricks and offer Tomte, a tool that automatically makes our adjustments under Ubuntu, elementary OS and Linux Mint:

     

     

    Encrypted Installation

    On request, we install your Linux system completely encrypted. The pre-installation as dual boot with Windows is technically not possible.

    Windows on request

    If you don't want or can't do without Windows, we install the desired Windows version next to Linux or alone. Please understand that a dual-boot installation can take 1-2 working days longer, even though the process is fully automatic. Please also note that we provide you with a correct Windows license incl. license sticker and installation DVD!

     

    Windows Drivers

    The corresponding Windows drivers are already included as standard with every device, regardless of whether it is with or without Windows or operating system installation. Alternatively, you are free to download all Windows-Drivers from here.

     

    Accessories

    As accessories you can select an additional external display for enjoying dual display operating together with the laptop.

     

    Furthermore we deliver a wired or wireless keyboard including a mouse or an additional wired mouse. These input devices are produced by Logitech and are only available with German layout!

    All devices have a maintenance-friendly design. Depending on the model, the essential hardware components such as processor, drive, hard disks, RAM, WIFI modules etc. can be accessed via maintenance flaps or removable floor trays. Furthermore the battery is replaceable if not stated differently. Of course, even after expiration of your warranty period, we're offering replacement parts and service for many years!

     

    For warranty cases, we'll provide you with a free return label after getting in touch with us. Warranty handling is done via our technical support. Please note our warranty conditions

The research effort for application specific setup is immense and not manageable at the current time. Basic compatibility questions e.g. are of course still welcome!
