TUXEDO InfinityBook because it is a TUXEDO notebook with almost infinite possibilities. Combined with the Linux versions specially adapted for this notebook, it is a unique device with a unique user experience.
The completely new developed InfinityBook 14 has a completely made of aluminium housing.
It does not require any fan at all, so it is passively cooled and does not generate any noise! This makes it the ideal companion for meetings, lectures or in hotels.
No fan, no moving parts! Thus nothing that can get dusty. It can also be safely placed on a tablecloth, couch or in bed and not overheated!

The end-to-end display hinges provide a strong hold and allow operation with just one hand, so the notebook body does not have to be held in place when opening.
The illuminated keyboard with penguin-super-button in full DIN-A4 size is also a novelty in this class. Even multiple typists can use it on the go without having to long for their stationary keyboard ;)
The passive 14-inch variant of our InfinityBook series is uncompromisingly designed for runtime.
The maximum runtime for our tests is almost 24 hours!
The operating time under normal load, with WLAN and Bluetooth and 50% display brightness is approx. 12 hours! In our tests in meetings, during which the display switches off completely due to inactivity, we came up with an energy consumption of 25% after 5 hours.
These extreme runtimes allow the most economical processor series from Intel. In the InfinityBook 14, an Intel Core i5-7Y54 dual-core processor with up to 3.2 Ghz per core performs its work completely noiselessly, since it is passively cooled - i. e. without a fan.
Decent computing power requires storage space and enough memory.
And the InfinityBook 14 does not lack this either. An M. 2 slot is available for M. 2-SATAIII SSDs. 8 or 16 GB RAM are already built in as you choose!
The InfinityBook 14 does not make any compromises on the connection side either:
Micro-HDMI, USB2.0, USB3.0, USB-Typ-C with DisplayPort and charging function etc. Combo connection for headphones and microphone is available as well as the obligatory card reader and a separate charging port.
The USB type C is a highlight, because besides USB 3.1 it also masters DisplayPort and can easily drive 4k/UHD screens at full 60Hz! The InfinityBook 14 can also be charged via the USB type C port.
On board are of course an integrated webcam and a microphone, two loudspeakers, a clickpad and of course an illuminated keyboard with penguin super key :D (instead of a windows symbol).
After removing the underside of the housing, all components are easy to maintain, clean or replace.
Display / Monitor
Modern displays with IPS panels have bright areas along the frame as a normal characteristic. This has hardly any influence on everyday operation, not least because the displays are optimized for daylight operation. It can only be minimized, but not completely avoided, regardless of the manufacturer and for manufacturing reasons. Details on pixel error classes can be found here.

This notebook does not have a fan, so there is no noise or noise. The notebook is completely cooled by the case made of solid aluminium, which dissipates the heat.
Self-developed heatsink paste
Optimal cooling lies at our hearts of course. To get the most out of it we examined lots of different heatsink pastes. The result is that we let produce our own heatsink paste! This heatsink paste optimized and customized for our systems is used with every TUXEDO.
Operating systems
We install Ubuntu and TUXEDO OS (based on Ubuntu with KDE Plasma Desktop) in the latest 64-bit version with long term support.
With our fully automatic installation WebFAI you can easily perform a Linux installation exactly as we at TUXEDO Computers do it in our production! You can choose from all distributions that we also offer in our configurator. Depending on the distribution, you have the choice between different desktop interfaces. For "self-installers" and all who are interested, we have set up a database with downloads, instructions, tips & tricks and offer Tomte, a tool that automatically makes our adjustments under Ubuntu, elementary OS and Linux Mint:
Encrypted Installation
On request, we install your Linux system completely encrypted. The pre-installation as dual boot with Windows is technically not possible.

Windows on request
If you don't want or can't do without Windows, we install the desired Windows version next to Linux or alone. Please understand that a dual-boot installation can take 1-2 working days longer, even though the process is fully automatic. Please also note that we provide you with a correct Windows license incl. license sticker and installation DVD!
Windows Drivers
The corresponding Windows drivers are already included as standard with every device, regardless of whether it is with or without Windows or operating system installation. Alternatively, you are free to download all Windows-Drivers from here.
Accessories
As accessories you can select an additional external display for enjoying dual display operating together with the laptop.
Furthermore we deliver a wired or wireless keyboard including a mouse or an additional wired mouse. These input devices are produced by Logitech and are only available with German layout!

All devices have a maintenance-friendly design. Depending on the model, the essential hardware components such as processor, drive, hard disks, RAM, WIFI modules etc. can be accessed via maintenance flaps or removable floor trays. Furthermore the battery is replaceable if not stated differently. Of course, even after expiration of your warranty period, we're offering replacement parts and service for many years!
