The Gemini 17 - Gen4 is the first in this product series to feature a graphics card from the high-end segment: Depending on the performance profile, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, which can be run at up to the maximum 140 watts specified by NVIDIA, is suitable for games with highest detail settings, memory-intensive 3D renderings, and professional video editing thanks to its generous 12 GB GDDR7 VRAM and quality-enhanced DLSS4.

Solid Desktop Replacement Chassis in Classic Workstation Design

The Gemini 17 is not meant as flashy ultra-thin laptop for a vernissage or trendy café. It is not built to be seen. It is built for those who do and who prefer a classic Desktop replacement workstation in a reasonably portable form factor.

With an overall height of just under 2.9 cm and a weight of 2.8 kg, the Linux desktop replacement is not designed to be carried around all the time, but nevertheless allows comfortable transportation over short to medium distances with ease.

In return, users are rewarded with a more capable cooling system that allows either higher performance or quieter fan noise than on many thin-and-light competitors, a large 17.3-inch monitor for getting your work done comfortably even without the need for an external screen, and a solid ports selection.

The black, robust enclosure consisting of aluminum (display lid) and rigid plastics (upper and bottom shell) features a classic, mostly muted workstation look, whose understatement without LED bells and whistles also qualifies the TUXEDO Gemini 17 for professional use.

The big clickpad with integrated mouse buttons measures 150 x 90 mm, while the quiet membrane keyboard including full 4-row numpad for faster number entry comes with a multi-color adjustable backlight for working comfortably in dimly lit environments.

For a laptop that is meant to replace a stationary desktop PC, it is essential to have a big and high quality display, which allows productive work and immersive gaming without the need to connect an external monitor.

The 38.3 x 21.5 cm screen provides a sharp, detailed rendering of texts, photos, movies and games due to a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Thanks to its 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, which covers around 25% more colors than the default sRGB color space, the Gemini 17 is suited for professional image editing and gaming in high frame rates with up to 240Hz.

73Wh Battery and USB-C Charging

With a high-performance CPU based on a desktop pc chip and entry-level high-end graphics card, the TUXEDO Gemini 17 is primarily designed to be a portable desktop replacement powerhouse. Equipped with an internally screwed 73 Wh battery, the Gemini 17 nevertheless allows the flexible use of the Linux workstation laptop away from the wall outlet for several hours.

For unleashing full performance, the laptop is powered by a compact 230W power supply, while very small and light 100W USB-C chargers can also be used for lighter use like web browsing and office tasks at heavily reduced performance.

For an energy-saving operation, we recommend our pre-configured, tuned power profiles as well as the manual settings for CPU power limit control (TDP) in our inhouse-developed and on your TUXEDO laptop pre-installed TUXEDO Control Center.

For stationary use plugged into a wall outlet, battery charge control ("Flexicharger") via the UEFI / BIOS as well as via the above-mentioned TUXEDO Control Center lets you define charge limits for increasing your battery's life span.

Up to 8 TB SSD Storage and 96 GB DDR5 RAM

As a matter of course for a desktop replacement notebook, TUXEDO Gemini 17 features both upgradable SO-DIMM RAM slots and expandable M.2 SSD mass storage.

After removing the bottom panel, which of course is covered by the warranty, 2x DDR5 SO-DIMM RAM slots for up to 96 GB and 2x M.2 SSD storage slots for up to 8 Terabytes are equally accessible for replacement as standard components like the Wi-Fi card, the internally screwed battery or the two fans.

For even more storage space, you get 10 GB myTUXEDO cloud storage for free with every TUXEDO laptop or PC. This way, you can access your data conveniently and securely (encrypted and hosted in compliance with german data protection regulations) at any time from anywhere and with any Internet-capable laptop, PC or smartphone.

2x DisplayPort 2.1, 1x HDMI 2.1 and 4x USB

2x DisplayPort 2.1 via USB-C and HDMI 2.1 allow to hook up 3 external high-resolution monitors, which are all connected to the powerful NVIDIA graphics card for best performance. Together with the notebook display, 4 screens can be used simultaneously.

In addition to the two USB-C ports, from which the one on the right allows charging the laptop via a USB-C power adapter (100W | 20V / 5A), the Gemini 17 also provides 2x USB-A for classic peripherals as well as the obligatory 2-in-1 audio jack and RJ45 LAN port.
